Since the owner, designer, and craftsmen are all Ukrainian, we thought it would be a great idea to add a touch of Ukrainian origin in an elegant way without literalism, brutalism and sharovarschyna. The walls of the salon are adorned with exquisite wallpaper depicting a mosaic from the 1960s that can be seen in the renowned Kyiv metro station Pecherska. In addition, the hub features reproductions of stunning graphics by the talented Ukrainian artist, Sonya Delonge.
Most of the furniture and decor was created by our Ukrainian craftsmen. All wooden items - cabinets, chests of drawers, bedside tables, doors - were made to order by a Frankish craftsman and his son according to my sketches. It is a special pleasure to deal with a family business. Family stories, experiences of generations, love and respect for each other are reflected in things. And this, in my opinion, is very valuable.
The salon's subtle and meaningful decorations offer a brief background story that will inspire visitors to appreciate the beauty of Ukrainian and Portuguese cultures. However, these hints will not be immediately understood without a short explanation and the hub will be perceived as modern, and stylish with its own character.
